# SUPPORT FOR WINDOWS 7 IS ENDING

### All good things must come to an end, even Windows 7. After January 14, 2020, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or support for PCs running Windows 7. But you can keep the good times rolling by moving to Windows 10.

My name is Darin, and as your Account Manager, I am ready to give you the best IT experience I possibly can. As such, I would like to start the conversation about Windows 10. It is no secret that Microsoft is ending its support for Windows 7 come January. With that said, I encourage you to contact me to discuss a plan to upgrade your systems to Windows 10. There are various options to ensure that the migration is smooth for you and your team.

#### WheelHouse IT recommends the following three options for upgrading your Windows 7 licenses. I'll work with our engineers to craft a dynamic plan that meets your business needs.

- **Get started with a new device** - PC's are lighter, faster and mover affordable than ever, so it makes sense for Windows 7 users to transition to a new device with Windows 10 installed.
- **Upgrade to Windows 10 Pro** - Built for business with enterprise-grade security, enhanced productivity, and the latest features to get more done.
- **Microsoft 365** - Empower people in your organization to be creative and work together, securely.

### You have questions, we have answers

### Can I upgrade my existing PC to Windows 10?

Yes, you can upgrade compatible Windows 7 PCs that meet Microsoft's minimum requirements with a full license. To take advantage of the latest hardware capabilities, we recommend moving to a new PC with Windows 10.

### Is there training available for the upgrades?

WheelHouse IT is excited to announce that we have a robust training portal that you and your team can access 24/7/365. Our Training portal has over 3,000 to-the-point videos! [You can take a tour of our training platform here!](https://www.wheelhouseit.com/training)

### What happens if I continue to use Windows 7?

You can continue to use Windows 7, but once support ends, your PC will become more vulnerable to security risks. Windows will operate but you will stop receiving security and feature updates.

### Can I get a free upgrade to Windows 10?

Microsoft 365 Business comes with a free upgrade for users with a Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 Pro license on their device. By purchasing Microsoft 365 Business your users can upgrade all of their old Windows Pro licensed devices at no additional cost.
